Welcome

Minos was born in 1944 on the island of Rhodes in Greece. His love of the ocean and ancient architecture was awakened by childhood adventures in this historical city. The creative spark within Minos first manifested itself in the form of poetry.

When Minos was 13 his family emigrated from his island paradise to the outback city of Broken Hill in Australia. Struggling with a new culture and language Minos found comfort in his imagination through art. It was only after arriving in Australia that he discovered his talent for drawing and painting.

As a young man, still in high school, Minos won local art competitions and was even commissioned to paint for art collectors. He was encouraged to develop this talent and completed formal training at the National School of Art in Sydney, under full scholarship. Minos graduated in 1965. Minos was also very fortunate to spend time with great Australian artist, Douglas Annand.

Following his studies Minos spent the next thirty years as a graphic designer. Since retiring in 2000, Minos has been creating art extensively, drawing inspiration from his childhood on Rhodes.
